Uber relaunched its ride-sharing service under a new name
Uber is bringing back the ride-sharing service under a new name: UberX Share. The improved ride-sharing product is the first to be piloted in Miami. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Uber suspended the Uber Pool carpooling function in March 2020, but the company promised earlier this month that it plans to resume shared travel.Recently, the price of Uber has been rising, so the ride-sharing option allows the company to provide cheaper fares, which may make Uber a more popular transportation option. In the UberX Share ride, the rider will only be able to ride with one other person (except the driver) during the journey. Everyone in the car must wear a mask even if they have been vaccinated. There will be a 5% discount on the UberX Share car, and if the driver picks up another person during the trip, the ride will receive Uber Cash.It is unclear when UberX Share will be expanded, and the company has not given any additional information about future promotion plans to other cities.
