"Snapchat" adds a new feature to the location sharing service, for helping users mark the address where photos were taken
According to "TechCrunch" reports, "Snapchat" announced that it would add new features to its location sharing function "Snap Map" to facilitate users to comment and discuss a certain location earlier this year. The platform said on November 17 that the company has launched two new features called "Memories" and "Explore" for "Snap Map" to enhance the user experience."Snap Map" allows users to find the location of their friends, and also helps users search for nearby popular attractions. Using the Memories function, users can mark photos taken by themselves at a certain location on the "Snap Map", showing the user's past activities, such as walking a dog in Central Park. The marked content in Memories belongs to personal privacy, so this function is only visible to the user. The Explore function will display the actual popularity of each location on the map. Users can click on the most popular highlighted area to view public photos and videos uploaded by "Snapchat" users around the world at this location. As partners of "Snap", the ticket sales platform "Ticketmaster" and the restaurant review platform "The Infatuation" are also developing a series of new features to recommend the most popular performances and restaurants on "Snapchat" to users. This summer, "Snapchat" also added a new feature called "My Places". This function will analyze the user and his personal action trajectory, and recommend the most suitable amusement spots to the user on a regular basis.
