Description
* Winner of the Editor's Choice Award, Children's Technology Review * Touch, Look, Listen will delight and encourage children as they learn their first words. It’s the perfect book app for parents and little ones to share, combining superb photographs, simple word labels and friendly narration. It's also great way for children to learn another language, with an option to add a second language that you'd like to see and hear. Touch, Look, Listen is just like a real board book. Each page is introduced by a playful rhyme, while bright and colorful images magically pop-up in each 3D scene. When little ones tap a picture, they see and hear the word for it, making this a powerful tool for learning new words as well as reinforcing those they already know. With the second language option, they can explore other languages too, including French, German, Spanish and Chinese. The book covers all the popular preschool subjects, grouped into 14 different categories. There are lots of familiar things to find and name, such as animals, vehicles and things around the home, along with key concepts such as numbers and colors. ************************ FEATURES: Touch, Look, Listen - My First Words is part of the StoryToys Junior line. I am an Speech Language Pathologist and have found this to be a great book to work on expanding children's vocabulary receptively and expressivley. Easy to navigate and keeps the kids attentions. Great app. The only problem I have with it is that you have to tap it twice to get the sound effects..and then there aren't sound effects for some items...kids spend a lot of time double tapping...however, I just turn off the sound and have the kids name them or point to them.

Looks like a great app, but having the same no sound issues others noted. Kind of an important part of this app, so pretty useless without it.
