The app does a decent job of removing sensor noise. However it doesn’t do a good job of preserving detail, and a lot of fine detail will be destroyed completely. For example, a photo of a butterfly on a leaf; the image got less grainy but the texture of the leaf and the fine detail in the butterfly’s wings was completely removed. It does preserve very high-contrast edges okay, though. This is probably okay for vintage photos of people and the like, but it’s not for processing modern high-resolution digital photos to take out digital sensor read noise.
