I wanted an app to create floor plans on (because I enjoy it). The free version lets you create one room so you can get a feel for the app. I then paid for the full upgrade to create more rooms, (£5.99) I didn’t realise that you still have to pay extra for (better) objects each time. They are between £2-£3 a pack. I paid for garage pack. You can also have kitchen, bathroom, bedroom etc. Top Pros: You can save your designs You can edit the size and colour of objects Good range of objects (if you pay) Very easy to use app It still works okay with big plans. Started to lag with my 18 room mansion when I had both floors on the same platform (so 40+ room). Top Cons: You can’t go above one floor, I wouldn’t mind this so much if I could set the stairs to go in to the floor to show they go down at least. These app kill your battery like nothing else I have used. Limited for landscape design. Can’t change wall height. Kitchens ends need to be again a wall or you can see the feet. Top Tips...

Good app and easy to use after playing with it for an hour had worked out most of the functions , Demo plans are good to play with to see what’s possible . Would be even better if could do multiple levels on same plan . Also more support for stairs, arrival at next level, simple shapes to make own and some more standard types ie. quarter turn bottom or top. In app purchases can be annoying but it works out about £15 to buy full version and extra packs , so a reasonable price for a good program as long as it continues to be supported buy developer. Not every thing can be free. Having problems exporting and importing other peoples designs . And a photo option to capture 3D model would be good , currently taking screen shot and editing.

Only writing this to unlock some free stuff. Will change my rating accordingly if I purchase more items. Ok, so now I’ve gone from 2 ⭐️ to 4 ⭐️ as I paid for the full package. It’s a little pricey but you do get a lot. My only improvement at the moment would be to have a second floor and roofing options. There are ways and means to design your second floor but it would be nice to have it integrated.

Pros:great to be able to import house plans or photos to trace a new plan directly into this app. Very intuitive and easy construction interface. Cons: trying to move an existing window on a plan leads to the app and then the ipad to freeze completely for up to a minute. Extremely frustrating when trying out different house layouts (these freezes don’t just occur when moving windows either). Also, the slew function is a bit basic and coarse. It never feels like you’re actually in the room (you cannot zoom in enough to get this sense of presence) and you cannot just rotate on the spot - you always seem to translate across the room leading to slipping into walls and out of the room you’re trying to visualise.

If you are looking for this type of app, buy this one. If you are looking for another type of app, buy this one anyway, just to see what real customer support is. I bought the app for a simple job, having no idea on how to use a planning app before. Surprise, surprise I got really confused , lost and frustrated. In the middle of my grumpiness, the feedback request popped , up, so I told them how difficult their app was to use, how some videos would be useful, generally venting. I nearly fell over, when the developer, replied to me within a few hours, explained how I needed to start my project, directed me to their comprehensive demos, videos and how too’s that I had totally missed. Have you ever had the developers of an app respond , let alone in such a short time, and being nice? I cannot believe what I am designing now, how easy , how instinctive it is when you’ve got the basics understood. Im an old dog, the app has taught me so many new tricks. Buy it, trust it. Ps ....
