Apple Books is an incredible reader for e-books - ePub. Highlights, annotations, page-flips, fast-scroll through a book are all flawlessly smooth, with a polish that doesn’t exist anywhere else, in any other app. But for some reason Apple hasn’t prioritised launching the book store in India (or South Asia at large?). This is such an incredible failure.

This app is great for book reading. Be it epub format or pdf. I also use it for journaling. Works great like an actual journal. My three requests are: 1) add multi window support on ipad so that i can open two books at once for reference. 2) if i highlight and add comments in a pdf, a box appear above the highlighted word which hides another word behind it and make it unreadable. Do something about it. 3) if possible please add option to insert images and stickers while annotating a pdf. It will drastically change the experience and be very helpful.

I’d used many book applications including kindle, and I love to read epub files. This is the best application ever created for reading books. Thank you Apple developers for this great experience. It would be greater if it had a vocabulary builder inside (long-press and add to Vocab builder) and automatic detection and showing the meaning from apple dictionary when revising it.

Some books are buggy even with the latest hardware. The Apple Pencil and fingers can’t be used together. The AppStore presently has better alternatives that seriously make Books look underpowered. Apart from that, my downloads constantly keep getting reset and uploaded and deleted all the time. Maybe this is just a ploy by Apple to make me buy more storage, but it really doesn’t make sense to keep downloading, while on the go, the books you already loaded onto your device which already has reasonable storage.
