    Amex might need to go back to the drawing board with this. The business checking app feels awkward and sparse. Currently no integration with QuickBooks Online. Slow ACH transfers and debit card delivery, I’ve had unavailable transferred ACH funds in my account for 5 days that I still can’t use because they haven’t settled yet, that’s way too long in my opinion. My debit card still hasn’t shipped to me, and it’s gna be 2 weeks. In theory this a great concept, business banking with minimal fees and 1.1% APY..but the things that keep my business running smoothly aren’t being met by Amex w this, please enhance these work flows and practical functionality that I need of a business checking accounts aim to meet.

    I am an Amex loyalist. Almost all of my daily spend is with them. I was waiting for the chance to actually bank with them and now I have that opportunity! Kabbage was ok at best for a business checking account and I knew Amex could do better. App is pretty good for being brand new. Adding debit cards to Apple Pay should be added. Dark mode should be added just like the Amex credit card app. A way to track budgeting and spending should be added. Plaid integration should be added so I can link my account to PayPal and such. Knowing American Express, these things will be updated. Businesses accounts are a massive part of their business and there’s no way they’d have anything but the best for small businesses. It’s a good start.

    Do yourself a favor and steer clear from this app/bank. There are no instructions for the endorsement they want for Mobile check deposits, which is different from other banks and impossible to guess. Apparently you have to write “for mobile deposit at EANB only” underneath your endorsement signature for the check to be cleared. Well, they didn’t have instructions for this stipulation to mobile deposits on their mobile app. Due to this situation, i have been out $14,000 for 4 days, and my wife had to drive three hours on her day off so I can write a few words beneath my signature and deposit again. Customer service experience was extremely painful, they did not resolve the issue. Once the check clears I’m pulling my funds and closing the account, I suggest you don’t even bother.

    I have had to delete and download cause it will not recognize my login/password. Same login/password for website works, but not the app. Bank transfers take entirely too long, at least 10 business days! I need to deposit checks, can’t do it cause the app won’t log me on. Can deposit it into my personal account, but then it take too long for funds to be available when I transfer it to my business account! I have had the account for less than 30 days and already annoyed with it!

    Transfers are quick and easy and I like integration with my credit cards. The problem is that depositing checks rarely works for me and almost always takes multiple tries. You get an email that doesn’t tell you why it was rejected. Unacceptable for an online bank. I can’t make this my main account for my business because of this wasted time and effort getting checks deposited. Also, it states all over the website that support is 24/7 but when you click through to the support page it says call during their business hours. No online chat feature either. That’s not 24/7.
